Education Minister Sacked for Failing to Discharge Duties Effectively
County Executive Committee Committee Member for Education Philip Mutua Kilonzo has been sack by the machokos county governor, Wavinya Ndeti.
Her excellency Wavinya Ndeti said that Philip Kilonzo is incapable of effectively discharging his duties as County Executive Committee for Education Education.
According to reports, she reviewed performance for Kilonzo and came to the conclusion that it is untenable for him to continue holding office as CEC-Member.
Her decision was informed by the need to uphold high standards of service delivery to the people of Machakos county, reads the statement in part.
Dr Consolata Mutisya, the CEC-M for Roads, Transport and Public Works was reasigned the post that was left vacant following the sacking of Philip.
This leaves the Department Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works without a substantive CEC. It is not clear when the governor is likely to fill the position.
The Machakos county boss, Wavinya Ndeti, is quoted saying that the voters of Machakos are our bosses and all county government workers including herself are answerable to them. She will not take a back seat and watch as things go wrong. Even if it means somebody going home, so shall it be.
