Fire Ravages Another Famous School’s Dorm, Watchmen And 12 Students Arrested.
Giant school in Kisii County has been closed indefinitely after fire ravages a dormitory Wednesday night.
The fire inferno at Nyamagwa Boys High School was reported this morning where the boys’ belongings were reduced to ashes.
According to the report from Education digital news, 12 Students and watchmen were arrested and are held in police custody. This comes after they were suspected in the torching of the school’s dormitory last night.
The Education digital news report also revealed that the students might have also involved some outsiders in the torching of their dorm.
The fire broke out when the students were asleep but luckily enough all the students escaped unhurt. The school administration said that the cause of the fire has not been established.
This morning, Thome Boys High School in Tigithi, found in Laikipia East Sub County, caught fire and one student has been confirmed dead.
Currently, schools are experiencing fire incidences despite the Government’s harsh warnings to the victims.
The memories of the night of 25th March in 2001 at Kyanguli Secondary School can never be forgotten by many families and Kenyans after a fire incident that claimed the life of several innocent students. The school dormitories were torched and Machakos town was thrown into mourning on this day when fire consumed dorms and students 67 students lost their lives. Several students were left hurt due to the commotion that was there.
The school administrators are advised to offer psychological counselling to the students to deeply understand the consequences thereafter to evade such traumatising situations.
