Form One Selection: What To Expect
The form one selection is expected to kick off next week even as Professor George Magoha has assured that the selection process will be fair.
It is expected that a total of number of 1,214,031 candidates who participated in the 2021 KCPE exam will be placed into high institutions of learning (secondary schools).

In the released results 11,857 candidates scored between 400 and 500 marks, 315,275 candidates scored between 300 and 399 marks and another 578,197 candidates scored between 200 and 299 points.
As Magoha had announced earlier, it is expected that the selection would be done in a fair manner and without any biasness.
It is also expected that all national schools in the country must have a national representation and hence it is expected that during the selection learners must be picked across the board when filling the available vacancies in all national schools. Affirmative action must be taken to ensure this representation, CS said.
Under Affirmative Action, the top five candidates of any gender from each sub-county are placed in national schools based on the choices they made while registering for the KCPE exam.
Candidates scoring 380 and above will be expected to be placed in prestigious national and extra-county schools
