A 55-year old man who is a homeless street beggar from the city of Kansas receives a reward of Ksh 2 million after he unbelievably returned a diamond ring worth Ksh 435,000 to the owner.
The man is identified as Billy Ray Harri. The media report has it that the homeless and honest man was ever in street begging for help. He realised that a passersby lady who dropped some coins in his begging cup had forgot her expensive Diamond angagement ring.
After getting the diamong in his cup, Billy Harri was in a dilemma state whether to sell the ring or return it to the rightiful owner.
He later decided to return the ring to the rightful owner. Harri handed over the ring to the lady in presence of her husband. The two were impressed with the higher level of honesty of the beggar and decided to reward him.
According to the lady, they commenced fund drive targeting to raise Ksh 100,000 but ended up raising Ksh 25 million for the homeless man.
The reward has made a u-turn to the beggar’s life and the family. They are now set to enjoy a happy lifestyle.
