How to Change Universities on KUCCPS Portal
Students who are enrolling in tertiary institutions in September 2023 have one last chance to choose their favourite colleges and programmes thanks to the Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement (KUCCPS).
Students taking the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2022 were told in a statement by KUCCPS that if they were dissatisfied with their initial placement, they might choose to swap schools.
Transfers between institutions or programmes must be completed by August 15, 2023. This extra time will provide students the chance to carefully explore their options and decide what will work best for their future academic goals. How to Change Schools or Programmes
Inter-university transfers, according to KUCCPS, must be completed online by logging onto www.students.kuccps.net; no paper forms from desired universities are accepted.
Students should access the portal after logging in and choose the “Transfers” page to find the exact programme they want to transfer to.
As soon as the student does, the portal will show an inter-institution area and ask them to enter the programme code for their desired course.
KUCCPS will check to see if the student fulfils the necessary cutoff points for the targeted programme before moving forward with the transfer. The student will also have to give a thorough justification for starting the transfer.
Students must use mobile transfer to send a non-refundable sum of Ksh 1,000 to complete the transfer application. The transfer application will be verified using the transaction code obtained from this payment.
As soon as your transfer request is approved, the selected institution will instantly receive and review your application, subject to space availability.
If the organisation accepts your transfer, it will be sent to your original school for review before KUCCPS gives its final permission.
A transfer letter, which serves as your admissions letter to the new university or college, will be sent to you via your portal once KUCCPS approves your request.
Motives Behind University Transfers
Students may choose to switch classes for a number of reasons, according to KUCCPS.
The need to accommodate those with disabilities, as well as financial and medical difficulties, are some of the frequently cited reasons by students.Additionally, KUCCPS appreciates the value of students enrolling in classes that match their passions and interests.
They give students the freedom to switch curricula if they discover that their current course is not in line with their interests as a result.
If you fall short of the requirements for the selected Degree or Diploma course’s cut-off points, the placement authority will immediately reject your transfer request.
