KNEC To Assess And Grade 2022 Exams Fairly.
The Kenya National Examinations Council is the national body whose responsibility is to oversee national examinations in Kenya. KNEC is always dedicated to offer excellent services.
The council has promised over 2.5million candidates who registered to sit for this year’s national examinations stating next week that assessment and grading will be fair.
KNEC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Njengere in an open letter reminded the candidates that the supervision and invigilation exercise will be rigorous and therefore, there will be no room to cheat.
However, the KNEC chief executive officer warned candidates against any form of cheating and those caught will have their results cancelled.
Mr Njengere also warned candidates not to be misguided by parents or teachers into engaging in examination malpractices.
He noted that every year the results of candidates who are involved in cheating get cancelled.
“We give examination results for honest candidates. No examination results can be given to candidates who involved in noticeable cheating”, Mr Njengere added.
Rehearsal for 1,244,188 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education candidates and 1,287,597 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) candidates wi be conducted on Friday 25th November 2022.
KCPE and KPSEA candidates will sit for the two national examinations starting Monday, November 28 to Wednesday, November 30.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will run between December 2 and December 23.
Knec has already given strict instruction and guidelines to supervisors, invigilators, and candidates that must be adhered during the entire examination period.
KNEC has further revealed that there 159 KCSE centers, 492 KPSEA centers, 430 KCPE centers, and 10 adult centers throughout the county.
To ensure proper supervision and invigilation, KNEC has contracted more teachers to serve as Centre Managers, Supervisors and Invigilators.
This year, Knec has contracted at least 250,000 administration of KCPE, KPSEA and KCSE national examinations and assessments.
