The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)(KRA) has advertised vacancies for graduate trainees who will be nurtured into tax administration experts.

Successful candidates will join the taxman’s Graduate Trainee (GT) Programme and be nurtured into tax administration experts.
The principal revenue collector listed qualifications candidates should possess, including a degree and minimum of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education .KCSE.

In a notice, KRA noted that the programme targets university graduates aged 28 years and below
Besides being graduates, applicants should have a mean grade of at least C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent with a minimum of C+ in English and Mathematics.
Candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Applicants must also submit a valid certificate of good conduct, copies of the KRA PIN certificate, National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF)(NHIF), National Social Security Fund (NSS)F and identity cards.
In September, KRA deployed over 1,400 officers with paramilitary training to the field and markets to facilitate tax compliance.
The officers completed a two-month training course at the Recruits Training College in Eldoret and qualified as revenue service assistants. In a notice, KRA said revenue service assistants would register businesses online and verify taxpayers’ details.
KRA hopes to collect KSh 2.7 trillion in tax revenue in the 2023/2024 financial year after implementing the Finance Act 2023, which introduced a raft of taxes.
