KUCCPS Portal For Selection Of Courses Now Open
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service’s (KUCCPS) has announced the commencement of selection of courses through the KUCCPS Portal.
The KUCCPS portal was on September 19th 2022 to allow Form Four students select courses to pursue in universities and colleges next year under government sponsorship.
KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Dr Mercy Wahome said the portal was opened on September 19 and will close on November 30.
All secondary school principals have received communication on selection of courses with each candidate required to pay an application fee of Sh500 through their schools.
On behalf of all candidates, school will collect, collate and submit each candidate’s selection of courses through the school portal for placement to universities and colleges.
According to the letter from KUCCPS to all school principals, schools are urged to follow the procedure given in the website (KUCCPS portal).
Each student is expected to make sixteen (16) choices comprising of six degree courses, four options for diploma level, four for crafts and artisan.
While selecting the courses, the candidate is required to start with the most preferred courses.
The KUCCPS minimum admission requirements for Degree programmes is C+, Diploma C-, Craft Certificate D and Artisan Certificate D- (minus) and below in KCSE.
KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer yesterday advised all Form Four students to seek advice from teachers on career guidance on the selection process.
Wahome noted that KUCCPS is holding career guidance activities in secondary schools across the country.
Starting July 2022, the KUCCPS has sensitised 43,079 secondary school students from 92 schools in 29 counties. During the sensitization exercise 4,505 career teachers working in 45 counties on career guidance have been trained.
