KUCCPS Sends A Vital Information to All Students Who Wish to Apply for University Transfer
KUCCPS in a press release, has announced that the online system will be opened starting from tomorrow to allow the inter institution transfers.
The system will also allow students placed in TVET Institutions to apply for transfer from the colleges and courses they were placed in.
Kuccps Chief Executive Officer Dr. Wahome said the Inter-institutional transfers is the final step in the student placement process, during which students are allowed to make a final switch from one institution to another if they wish to do so. This applies to all students placed in university and colleges.
“Kuccps portal will be opened from tomorrow, to allow for inter-institutional transfer applications for students placed to various universities, colleges and Tvet institutions,” Wahome said.
The inter transfer exercise will end on August.
For a transfer application to succeed, an applicant must meet the minimum qualification cut off points for the programmes in the university that he or she wishes to transfer to.
Dr Wahome said that transfer application must be endorsed by both affected parties, which have been enabled to do so online. Therefore, students will not visit institutions physically seeking for transfers.
Dr Wahome added that, applicants shall be in a position to monitor the transfer progress through the portal and, once approved, they will be able to download the transfer letters once posted on the portal.
First year students are expected to report in early September in most universities to commence first semester of their academic year.
