The Teacher Service Commission (TSC) initiates transfer of principals following the latest transfer of Principal Sambirir Girls High school in Elgeyo Marakwet.
The principal Sambirir Girls High School Madam Scholastica Onsomu a former principal of St. Mathias Mulumba Secondary Sshool in Borabu Nyamira County has been transferred to Getare Girls Secondary School situated in Keroka town in Kisii land.
Getare Girls Secondary School was formerly under the headship Miriam Ogega. It is a Day And Boarding Girls, Sub County level Secondary school, located in Masaba South Sub-County, Kisii County, in Kenya.
Currently the position of headship in Sambirir Girls High School is vanant. The school deputy principal is now in charge until TSC fills the gap.
Last yeaTSC initiated a number transfers which came about after the promotion of Mr Andrew Buop,the principal Maseno School to the position of Education ambassador in New York, USA .
TSC filled the vacancy left by Mr Buop in Maseno School with Dr Joash Allo who was a principal Kabianga Boys High School by then.
Principal Baringo High school, Mr Peter Owino was been transferred to Kabianga High School to Replace Dr Aloo who was transferred to Maseno High School.
The September 2021 transfers of principals came within a very short period after TSC had initiated other of several end of June 2021.
The list of the principals who were transferred by then is given below:
1. The principal of Kerongorori High School’s Mrs Tabitha Mogoi was transferred to Riambase in Nyamache Sub-county to fill the post of the school’s former principal who died early this year.
2. The former principal of Botoro Secondary School in Marani Sub-county was transferred to Kerongorori High School.
3. Grace Onyango was transferred to Rabura Mixed Secondary School in Siaya County. Before her transfer she was a principal of Nduru Girls School
4. The principal of Tarang’anya High School in Migori County Mr Aliva was moved to Terem High school.
5. Mr Benard Wamanga, Principal Terem High School was moved to Kivaywa Secondary School.
According to Mr Isaiah Nyariki the Sub-county Quality Assurance and Standards Officer in Kenyenya teachers transfers is a normal routine and whoever is served with a transfer by the Commission has to move to the new stations on the directives from their employer (TSC). Mr Nyariki made his remarks while at Kerongorori Secondary School.
