Latest Mandatory Requirements For First Time HELB Loan Applicants
The Higher Education Loan Board(HELB) portal for first time loan application is open for the 2021 KCSE candidates who set to join higher learning institutions starting this August.
The 2022 newly placed university students have received their placement letters from various universities and other colleges across the country.
These students have room between now and November to apply for loan to fund their higher education studies.
To apply HELB Loan there are several mandatory requirements an applicant has to meet.
The mandatory documents/requirements an applicant need for the loan application include:
1.KRA pin number. The candidate must be registered by Kenya revenue authority (KRA)
2.National Identity Card(ID). The candidate must have own national identity card.
3.KRA pin of guarantors as well as of parents if available.
4.Details of your primary school and secondary school.
5.ID of your parents.
6.Your bank account. The candidate is required to open a bank account from preferred available banks in Kenya.
Candidates should note that to open a bank account, KRA pin and national identity card are required.
Other details required when applying for the loan include:
1.Personal details.
2.Residence details.
3.Education background.
4.Institutional details -the institution you are enrolling to.
5. Bank details and bank stamp and signature
6. Guarantor details
7. Magistrate stamp and signature.
A copy of duly filled loan application form and attached support documents should be submitted to the nearest huduma center. The applicant is required to retain the other copy.
