MoE releases 2024 schools’ calendar for co-curricular activities
The schedule for co-curricular activities in 2024 schools for the full year has been released by the Ministry of Education.
The Eastern Region has been assigned to host secondary school games in Machakos County, April 6–14, 2023, during the first term.
Games for KSSSA Term One
2024 NATIONAL CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES CALENDAR
Rugby 15s, athletics, basketball 5*5, handball, hockey, and swimming will all be featured at the event. During the same time frame, the area will also hold junior school athletics, cross-country, handball, basketball, and swimming.
Nakuru County in the Rift Valley will hold secondary and special school sports at the same time. From April 6–12, Nyeri County, in the Central Region, will host the Primary Schools Athletics competition.
There are planned drama festivals in Embu, which will be held at Kangaru School and Embu University. The Science and Engineering Fair will be held at Moi Girls’ School in Nairobi County from April 6–12.

Kenya Training Colleges will have its goal ball, ball games, and Paralympic activities in Machakos TTC from June 3rd to June 13th.
KSSSA II term
Kisii County will host secondary school games during the second term, which runs from July 29 to August 7. Sports slated for this time frame include table tennis, badminton, football, volleyball, and rugby sevens.
Junior school ball games will also be held in the area, and term II special schools games will take place in Kisumu.
