The demonstrators brought attention to a number of important problems, such as falling infrastructure, unpaid salaries, and a lack of necessary instructional supplies.
“That we have to work in such appalling conditions is intolerable, Our capacity to provide high-quality education has been negatively harmed by the university administration’s negligence of its duties, according to John Mwangi, a laboratory worker at the facility”.
The university council was also criticized by the personnel of not doing a good enough job of supervising.
They said that the council ignored the many problems that beset the university.
The staff outlined their requests in a press release issued during the demonstration. These included improving working conditions, expediting the payment of all past-due salaries, and conducting a thorough financial audit of the university.

They also called for the creation of an impartial commission to oversee the changeover in leadership.
“Now is the moment for change. We’re not going to give up until our demands are fulfilled,” Mwangi said. “Ensuring Moi University is brought back to its former glory is something we owe to the students and to ourselves.”
The management of the institution said nothing about the protests because they continued. It was not possible to get in touch with the VC or university council members for a response.
The employees have promised to keep up their protests until their demands are fulfilled.
The need to address these issues immediately in order to maintain the stability and growth of the institution is highlighted by the staff’s demand for quick action.
