Two Boys Found With Phones In The Dormitory While Exams Were On Arrested
The police are investigating an incident where two boys failed to show up on time for the ongoing KCSE exams and were later found in the dormitory with a mobile phone. The invigolators began looking for the boys only for them to be found in the dormitory with mobile phones.
The two boys of Oromareko Secondary School in Narok County Bosmoru location failed to turn up for the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations on time.
It is reported that the school principal (center manager) decided to make a follow up to determine why the boys were late for the examination. The principal raised the concern to the invigolators who alerted the police officer who was guarding the exams in the center.
The boys were found in the dormitory with mobile phones minutes later after the exams had began according to the reports from the school principal.
The two boys were then arrested after they were found. The County Commissioner for Narok County Mr. Masinde Isaac confirmed the incident.
While confirming the incident, Mr. Masinde indicated that he suspects that there could be another person who was giving instructions to the two boys. The boys could have been working under instructions, he said.
He further added that if it is true that the mastermind behind the incident is another person and not the two boys, and if the boys would reveal that other party, all the three of them will be charged and arraigned in court.
The two boys are in police custody and the police have began the investigations into the incident. The boys will be questioned to disclose who the owner of the mobile phone is, Mr. Masinde the County Commissioner said.
Two other candidates were arrested on Monday in Nairobi after they were found with mobile phones. However, the two were pardoned by the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Education and were allowed to continue with the exams.
In today’s incident it is not indicated or clear whether the two boys were allowed to continue with the exams or not. We shall get back to you once we have more information.
