In this year’s selection procedure, more than 580,000 students who received a C- or lower on the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam will be qualified for certificate and artisan courses of their choosing.
Students can choose courses from a list provided by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program based on cluster points.
In this context, “cluster points” refers to the highest number of points a student can receive in any one of the four clusters that are necessary for admission to a specific program, as compared to the top scorers in that specific KCSE exam year.
Eleven TVET colleges that have been authorized by the KUCCPS offer these courses for study in total.
