Teachers Service Commission has Ordered its Sub-County Directors to identify, nominate and vet Centre Managers, Supervisors and Invigilators who will take part in this years’ national examinations.
In a circular to all TSC Sub-County Directors, the CEO Dr. Macharia instructed the officers to forward the names of the successful candidates to the Contracted Professionals (CP2) system of Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) latest October 18, 2022.
During nomination, the sub-county bosses have been instructed to ensure that they deploy one supervisor for every 200 candidates and one invigilator for every 20 candidates. They should not deploy a supervisor for hosted and KPSEA centres except for centres with KPSEA candidates only.
Further, both hosted and hosting centres will have their own Centre Managers. However, the hosting Centre manager will pick and return examination materials to and from the container.
According to the KNEC timetable, the candidates for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will have their rehearsals on 18 November. The exams will kick off on November 21 and will run through to December 23, 2022.
Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and KPSEA exams will start on 28 November and run through to 30 November. Their rehearsals will be done on November 25, 2022.
On the other hand those in Teacher Training Colleges will have their DECTE exams starting on November 21 to November 25, 2022.
