Nominated Member of Parliament (MP) David Ole Sankok’s Son Commits Suicide in Narok County.
The eldest son of nominated MP David ole Sankok has reportedly died by committing suicide at their home in Ewaso Nyiro, Narok South sub-county.
The ugly incident took place at the MP’s home in Ewaso Nyiro, and Narok south Sub-County on Monday evening.
The teenage who was identified as Memusi Sankok aged15 shot himself using his father’s pistol on Monday afternoon after taking it from a safe in his father’s bathroom.
Report has revealed that the young Sankok was a Form Four student at Kericho High School.
It has not yet been established what prompted the boy to take the action. Investigation has been launched to probe into the matter and establish the cause.
The pistol used by the legislator’s son has since been seized by the officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for ballistic assessment.
The Narok South Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Felix Kisalu said that DCI officers are investigating the incident.
The body of the deceased has since been moved to Narok County Referral Hospital.
The incident occurred when the incident, the legislator was not at home and it remains unclear how the youngster gained access to the firearm, which was supposed to be safely guarded.
