The school was founded in the year 1932 before Kenya could attain it’s independence. The school name during that time was Duchess of Gloucester School. It was named after Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester.
The school was renamed after Kenya attained it’s independence, hence, the name Pangani Girls High School.
It is a pure girls boarding national public school in Nairobi County.
VISION: To develop the best students academically, socially, spiritually and morally.

For many years now, the school performance in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations has been tremendous. It is well known due to it’s performance or good results when KCSE results are being released.
