Panic As Fire Ravages Another Famous School’s Dorm, Several Students Rushed To Hospital.
Several cases of school fires have been reported in the last few weeks that has led to the destruction of property worth millions of money.
Across the country, several schools have been closed indefinitely after the fire has ravaged school dormitories. The c schools which have been closed include; Singore Girls, Kakamega school, Maranda boys, Nyamagwa boys, Ringa Boys, Nyamira Boys, Chavakali boys among others.
Today afternoon a dormitory at Kerugoya Girls high school caught fire and was reduced to ashes. The cause of the fire has not been established.
Several students have been rushed to the hospital after inhaling smoke. The smoke was brought by the fire that has burnt one of the dormitories in school.
The fire inferno was reported this afternoon. The injured students are receiving medical care at the Kerugoya Level Five Hospital.
Many people have accused the government of banning corporal punishment in schools. Some have stated that the indiscipline cases in schools are escalated by negligence by parents who have left all responsibilities to teachers.
Schools dormitories are still being burned despite the half term break scheduled on 19th to 23rd November.
