police officer is in Hospital fighting for his life after he consuming poison following a domestic dispute with his wife who left with their two children.
In a report filed at Ngata Police Post, Rongai Sub County, Mr Abel Aboki who works at Mau Summit Police Station, in Kuresoi North Sub County had attempted to end his life by taking poison.
“It was reported by a senior police officer that his young brother who is also a police officer currently stationed at Mau Summit police station, Kuresoi North had attempted to commit suicide at his residence at Ngata location,” the report read in part.
Locals rushed him to Valley Hospital in Nakuru where he was attended to before he was referred to Mediheal Hospital where he is currently admitted.
According to the police, Mr Aboki attempted to end his life due to an unresolved domestic dispute with his wife identified as Ms Evelyn Kerubo Nyangate.
Ms Kerubo, left her matrimonial home with two children a day before the officer attempted to end his life.Neighbors heard Mr Aboki crying in pain and when they rushed to his house they found him lying on the floor as he writhed in pain.
The neighbors found a bottle containing a chemical which they believe he had taken next to his bed.
Police say that doctors who gave a briefing of his current health state said that his condition was serious.
This comes just a day after a police officer went berserk and started shooting randomly at anyone who tried to gain access or exit Kabete Police Station located in Dagoretti North Sub-County.
