President Uhuru Kenyatta has defended the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) saying that the new curriculum will enable the country to compete more effectively with other developed countries.
President Uhuru made his remarks at the United Nations General Assembly’s 76th session on Wednesday. He added that the competency-based curriculum will increase our workforce’s competitiveness both nationally and globally.
CBC has been criticised by many parents and other stakeholders claiming that CBC is time-consuming and that it is expensive.
Parents have raised a lot of concern that they do not have adequate time and money to meet the demands of CBC.
According to the president, CBC is focused on equipping the country to provide respectable and satisfying jobs, and this is one of his biggest achievements.
