Ann Waiguru’s competitor in the next general elections Ngirici who is the current women representative in Kirinyaga County welcomed her to UDA but didn’t not accompany her together with her team to the official residence of the deputy president.
Ngiciri has been a firm supporter of UDA. She will be vying for governorship in Kirinyaga County through UDA ticket.
Waiguru was in company of twenty Members of County Assembly when she paid a visit to the DP’s official residence in Karen to make her political stand official.
It is now crystal clear that Waiguru has ditched Jubilee party to join Hustler Nation. The guessing is over. As it appears now Ann Waiguru will be defending her seat wearing UDA garment or outfit.
Her opponent Ngiciri Wangui says that she is not scared to battle it out with her in the UDA nominations. She is determined to contest for the gubernatorial seat using UDA ticket. She also beliefs that she will defeat Waiguru during nominations.
Kirinyaga residents received the news of Ann Waiguru dancing to UDA Tune with joy as they termed it a good move.
A resident of Kerugoya town who spoke to the Star hailed her move adding that she took a right step. “She listened to us and joined UDA because we told her to do so”, he added.
Another resident of Kirinyaga County who resides at Kutus said that Waiguru’s new political stand is not a surprise to him for he had seen it coming. From his observation the governor had been asking the residents which outfit to use while defending her seat next year and the residents have been shouting UDA all along.
From Kagio area, one resident said that UDA is a popular party at Kirinyaga County and Waiguru’s move to join the party is a spot. She made a well calculated political move because the ground has been supporting deputy president all through, he said.
