Sad News: A Candidate Dies Hours To KCSE Exams
It is indeed sad news as a candidate who has been waiting for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations with high hopes of excelling in the exams was laid to rest few hours to the start of the much awaited exams after he fell sick shortly and died.
Sad mood engulfed Nyamira boys high school and Kiabonyoru village, Nyamira county, as Timothy Nyagwencha Nyachani a form four candidate was being buried.
Timothy was a candidate at Nyamira boys preparing to do his KCSE examinations which will kick off tomorrow at 8.00am. Unfortunately, the brilliant young boy has been preparing for this exam but he will not have a chance to sit for it as death snatched him.
The boy was determined to join University as he was bright and hard working. He fell sick shortly and everyone was expecting that he will recover, however, he died.
The school principal mr. George Onkundi who attended his burial ceremony, eulogized the deceased as a bright candidate who was going to pass in KCSE as he was always among the top students in his class.
Students who attended his burial accompaning the school principal and the staff termed Timothy as a person who was hard working, responsible a team player and a brilliant fellow who was aspiring to excell in his academic endeavors.
Nyamira County Education Director Mr. Ouko Boniface who attended Timothy’s burial ceremony urged the candidates together with their teachers to remain resilient despite having lost one of their own (their colleague and student respectively).
