Science Teachers have no choice but to revisit the content delivery methodology in class as stakeholders demands for better results from them.
Eastern regional Director of Education Dr.William Sugut has called upon the teaching fraternity to put more effort towards teaching science subjects whose performance has been dismal.
He added that science subjects should equip students with the knowledge and skills which are key in life and will give them an edge over their peers.
There is poor performance of science subjects in secondary schools and we should boost the performance for the betterment of our Learners.
He called upon students to take advantage of programmes being offered by the government like EduAfya as it was committed to ensuring that learners acquire quality education.
He warned students against drugs and substance abuse saying it had nothing in store except ruining their future.
Dr. Sugut was speaking during the commissioning of Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms in Mwala sub county, Machakos county.
He noted that with completion of construction of the classes, they were fully prepared for the transition to Junior Secondary Schools (JSSs) early next year.
Dr. Sugut was accompanied by Machakos county Director of Education Margaret Mwirigi, Mwala Quality and Standards Assurance Director Edna Ambasa and Mwala sub county Director of Education Stephen Kitungu.
