Set Book Live Performance End Badly As 3 Students and Their Teacher Injured
Students in one secondary school were anxious to watch live the performance of Set books in their school but what they did not know is the event may end badly.
3 students were injured while their teacher was beaten in a fight that ensued between students from 5 different secondary schools who had come for a live set book performance in Kilgoris, Narok County.
It is reported that a teacher of the host Secondary School, spotted some boys from Kilgoris Boys Secondary School in a “compromising situation” with one of his students, a girl.
He dispersed the boys but this did not ogre well with the visiting students who roughed him up with blows and kicks, prompting the students from the hosting schools to come to help their teacher.
“The boys from kilgoris Secondary school began throwing plastic chairs, pieces of rocks and a hail of other projectiles at their hosts, provoking chaos that left three students seriously injured and property of unknown value destroyed,” DCI said on Monday.
From the incident, 2 students suffered head, neck and chest injuries and are admitted at a local hospital in fair condition while a third was treated and discharged in fair condition too.
“Police officers from Kilgoris police station had a hard time to contain the rioting students who destroyed the school bus for the hosting school, window panes in one of the dormitories and several plastic chairs,” detectives added.
Police said an investigation into the matter is currently underway. However, the reports on the condition of the teacher were not released immediately.
