Two men found guilty of conning a lady using witchcraft. It is shocking!
Wonders shall never end. Two men, Nassir and Naaman were today convicted at a law court in Kenya after being found guilty of conning a woman who is a widow using witchcraft.
Rose Wafula Okumu after losing her husband in two thousand and eight decided to relocate to Belgium so that she can start life anew. It was at that point that she decided to sell all her belongings that she inherited from her late husband.
Rose had inherited apartments from her husband Frank Bullens and other property which was worth over seventy million shillings. The apartments were situated at Diani, in kwale county.
Rose put on sale her apartments in Kwale. After waiting for a willing buyer for a long time (she wanted to sell the property as quickly as possible) without succeeding she was advised by a “friend” to seek other means that may help her get a buyer soon.
According to her friend, the solution lied in the hands of a witch doctor. Unfortunately, she heed her friend’s advice and was introduced to a witch doctor know as Mbarak.
Mohamed Musa Naaman was the one who connected Rose Wafula to Mbarak the witch. The doctor was to give her some charms which could attract a buyer.
After visiting the witch doctor she was told that she must provide a cow for the rituals which she obliged. Then came a time when she was taken to a house where plenty of money was dropped.
She was told that the money belonged to an invisible spirit who is believed to possess the earth and has the power to influence humankind to do his command.
The lady did all that she was instructed to do and in due course, a buyer finally appeared. She sold her apartments at a price of 55 million shillings. All the transactions were done before an advocate and all money was transferred to her bank account.
It appears that the visits to the witch doctor brought her some confusion. After receiving the money she gave out 30M to Naaman. That did not end there as she further did an online transfer to Nassir cousin to Naaman.
Naaman asked her for more money telling her that they were constructing a house for her at Bamburi. Because of the confusion, she kept sending money. During all this time she kept visiting the cave. All the withdrawals were done in the cave.
When she had lost all that money she came back to her normal self. Unfortunately, Nassir and Naaman were nowhere to be found, the witch doctor too could not be traced. As a result reported the matter the matter to the police.
The police took the matter and began the investigations. In 2017 the suspects were arrested and brought before Shanzu court. It appears that Rose was not the only victim of the Duo. Other charges of cheating were opened.
In her testimony, she pointed out that Mbarak was helping Naaman to extorted money from her as Mbarak was the one reading the books and Naaman extracted the paraphernalia. She reported that she believes Mbarak was a super witch doctor.
To cut a long story short, Nassir and Naaman were found guilty of using witchcraft to extort money from Rose Wafula and they shall be sentenced on the twenty-fourth of this month.
However, the David Odhiambo Senior Resident Magistrate who was presiding over the case has given the two suspects to reach an agreement with Rose on how she will get her money back within ten days failure to which they will be sentenced to a long jail term which shall be decided upon on twenty-fourth.
