What a shocking revelation! Kenyans are cautioned against fake covid-19 vaccines. This comes after a shocking revelation that many Kenyans are feared to have been vaccinated with water by fraudsters posing as medical officers working at Kenyatta National Hospital.
The unsuspecting Kenyans paid 3,500 shillings to be given Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Little did they know that they were paying for water instead of the vaccine.
They later received the injection but they didn’t know that it was not the vaccine. Knowing or rather thinking that they have been vaccinated, the unsuspecting victims did not bother seeking other vaccines.
The two fraudsters who were identified as Wallence Mugendi Njiru and Kenneth Njeru Mukundi were presented today at a court of law for having administered fake covid vaccines.
It is a shock as many Kenyans are vaccinated with ( fake vaccine) water. They fell victims to fraudsters who were, by the way, posing as qualified medical officers, thus their victims did not suspect anything. Shocking revelation fake vaccine.
According to a report by George Kinoti the Director of Criminal Investigations through Corporal Kapairo, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday at Crane Hospital in Nairobi.
The two suspects have been posing as authorized medical practitioners working at the Kenyatta National Hospital. The suspects coned innocent Kenyans a lot of money while giving them fake injections in the name of covid vaccines know as Johnson and Johnson.
The fraudsters are also guilty of impersonation as they allegedly used the name of one of the medical practitioners working at Kenyatta National Hospital while corning the unsuspecting Kenyans.
It also emerged that the suspects have been impersonating the said practising doctor for a while now since January last year to the date of their arrest, Tuesday this month.
Corporal Kapairo added that the suspects have been committing a series of crimes from fraud, impersonation to even putting the lives of their unsuspecting clients at risk. They made them highly susceptible to the disease (covid -19) as they believed that they had received vaccination which was not the case and hence did not go for vaccination.
Though the exact number of the victims is not clear yet, it is believed that they can be thousand’s of people.
During the arrest, sheets showing details of the victims and their consent for vaccination were recovered. These Kenyans are in dire darkness as they do not know that they were given fake vaccines.
In an affidavit presented to the court, the case came to light as some victims discovered that their names are not in the database of the ministry of health as part of other Kenyans who have been vaccinated. They reported the matter and that was the genesis of the shocking revelation.
Shocking revelation as many Kenyans are feared to have received fake vaccines. The police, however, want the suspects remanded for five days as they conduct a conclusive investigation on the case before the suspects are charged.
Detectives while at the court added that more suspects are to be arrested and brought to court for being accomplices in the case and others for giving fake vaccines in some hospitals within Ongata Rongai.
Upon thorough questioning, the suspects confessed to their crimes. And that they were helped to register their facility in Kasarani by an authorized practising medical doctor.
