A family is in pain after their form one daughter died under unclear circumstance at Njoro Girls School.
Mr. Peter Wainaina father of the deceased, while still in utter shock following the sad news, demanded answers from the school management. According to him, his daughter had no pre-existing medical condition and the school has never called him concerning any health complications as well.
Peter said that he was called by the school management on the fateful day and was directed to go to Njoro sub-county hospital where his daughter had been taken to.
Upon reaching the hospital, the school principal handed him over to the doctors who broke the sad news to him.
The father of the deceased was speechless after receiving the sad news. He said that for a while, he was filled with rage wondering why the management did not take drastic measures to save the life of his daughter.
The heart broken father while sobbing narrated the ordeal adding that he was expecting his daughter next week for a mid-term break only for the unfortunate to happen. He longed to see his daughter and hear her share her secondary school experience.
The family now says they will not stop at that but will get to the bottom of this matter as they wait for a scheduled post-mortem to unearth the cause of her death. Whitney Njoki’s body is lying at the Egerton University mortuary.
The school management has not come out to comment anything over the incident.
