It is shocking after three teachers from different schools have been reported to have defiled their students. The three teachers are in hot soup.
Kisii County
A principal is currently on the run after defiling a fifteen-year-old girl in his school and paying her a thousand shillings to keep silent about the Matter.
Unfortunate to him the mother of the teenager discovered that something was amiss with her daughter and upon thorough questioning, the daughter revealed everything to her mother.
The mother then took her to the hospital for a check-up where it was confirmed that indeed she was defiled. The mother proceeded to a police station to report the matter.
On learning that the matter is no longer a secret, Mr Ongega headteacher Bendera primary school in Kisii county went into hiding to avoid being caught by the long arm of law.
Nyeri county
Another teacher who is a principal of Bondeni Secondary in Nyeri county Bondeni village is in trouble after he was reported to have defiled a form one boy in his school.
The defilement allegations came to light after parents and other villagers stormed Bondeni school and flushed out the principal following a report that one boy in form one have refused to go to school for fear that the principal will defile him.
It is also reported that the principal is very abusive and has been threatening his students not to reveal anything concerning his sexual abuses to anyone.
Upon discovering the Principal’s misconduct, the parents stormed the school with posters and twigs demanding that the principal be evicted from the school premises. We don’t want him misusing our children instead of teaching, protecting and guiding them, the parents said.
South Africa
In South Africa, a teacher has been fired after it was proved beyond doubt that he is guilty of committing a crime. The teacher was found guilty of sexual assaulting a fourteen-year-old girl who was his student.
It is reported that the teacher has been making several sexual advances on the girl. The girl has been telling her mother everything that has been happening but they could not report or take action against the teacher for lack of proof.
On Thursday morning the mother decided that they should get some evidence to use against the teacher. It was at this point that she gave her daughter a mobile phone so that she can record the teacher in case he repeated the sexual advancement.
Luckily as the teacher was giving her a ride back home, as usual, he started talking or engaging in immoral behaviour with the girl. Unknown to the teacher, the student was recording everything.
After acquiring the proof in form of a video recording, the mother took action against the teacher, she reported him. The teacher was presented to the court and was found guilty of all the crimes that he had been accused of. He was stripped off his duties as a teacher. That is to say, his services are no longer needed, permanent termination of services as a teacher.
The incidences of defilement have been on the rise in the recent past. Unfortunately, the perpetrators have not been apprehended or if they have been they are yet to be sentenced. Such perpetrators should be given heavy or capital punishment to eliminate or minimize the incidences.
All of us should team up and condemn such immoral behaviour to protect our children. It is our key responsibility to report such cases and ensure that the Criminals are arrested.
