TSC Announces Recruitment of 20000 Teachers
The government through the Teachers Service Commission, TSC has announced recruitment of 20000 Teachers this year.
Additionally, the state has said 16,000 classrooms will be constructed to enhance implementation of the Competency Based curriculum.
According to PS Belio Kipsang for Basic Education and Raymond Omollo for Interior, this will lessen the teacher shortage in basic education institutions.
They stated that the hiring process will start in July of this year.
“We’ll employ at least 20,000 teachers by July because the government recognizes the challenges facing the education sector. We want to make sure that there are enough teachers in our schools to ensure that CBC is implemented effectively,” Kipsang stated.
Speaking on Friday during Rang’i Primary School’s education day and during a visit to Orero Boys in the Rangwe constituency, Kipasang predicted that the new instructors will enhance the learning environment for students.
In addition, he claimed, the recruitment will free up the school boards of management (BOM) to hire more teachers.
In certain schools, where there is a severe teacher shortage, half of the teachers are BOM employees. He stated, “The administration is taking action to address the problem.

Implementing the CBC has been severely hampered by a teacher shortage, particularly in junior secondary schools.
Numerous educators have voiced their dissatisfaction with the workload, citing that they were prepared to teach only two courses, but are now responsible for four or more.
In certain educational institutions, teaching certain courses to the initial group of junior secondary school pupils took longer than a month.
But according to Kipsang, the administration is currently devising plans to meet the problem.
