Two People Arrested in Different Examination Centers For Impersonation
A Man in busia county was arrested today for impersonation in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations. George Makokha Barasa was arrested for impersonation.
The principal who is also the center manager for Our Lady of Mercy secondary school in busia county reported George Makokha to the police officers who are in charge of guarding the exams in the center his suspicions.
The police officers alerted the relevant authorities over the matter. Kipchumba Ruto who is the Deputy County Commissioner visited the center after receiving the reports. The suspect was then arrested.
From the police reports, the suspect was interrogated and he confessed that he was writing the exam on behalf of his father. The father to the suspect had registered for the ongoing KCSE Exams as a private candidate in busia county. He sent his son to write the exam on his behalf.
George Makokha is in police custody in busia police station awaiting to be arraigned in court for impersonation.
Elsewhere in kisii County, a university student has been arrested for impersonation. The third year kisii university student was impersonating a private student at kiamagundu secondary school.
Brian Angwenyi Nyakeri was impersonating Martin Nyamweya James who had registered for the ongoing KCSE at kiamagundu mixed as a private candidate.
The invigolators, security officers and the supervisor who were manning the exams at the center reported the matter to the police. Brian was arrested and is being held at Kisii central police station awaiting to be arraigned in court.
