Students who want to undertake their studies but can not meet the financial requirements have a reason to breath a sigh of relief following the announcement made by the University of Nairobi.
The University is inviting applications for scholarships from those students who wish to continue with their studies but are limited financially.
The University announced on Monday, August 29, that it would be awarding a total of 137 masters scholarships for the 2022–2023 academic year.
All the interested individuals were advised to submit their applications during the month of September, with the deadline set for September 23.Part of the Notice read , “University of Nairobi is offering 137 masters scholarships for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The applications are open only to applicants for the September 2022 intake.The above announcement also indicated that the scholarship is conditional and only valid for two years, with the exception of programs leading to master’s degrees that take longer.
Top fields include the four-year-long Departments of Medicine and Dental Sciences.Also this is with the exception of the departments of medicine, dental, and nursing sciences,as all applicants should have successfully completed and graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Nairobi in the academic year 2021–2022, that requires a minimum of two (2) years of practical experience before admission to the master’s program.
All the Students with either a first class honors or a second class upper division are also eligible for the scholarship.
Part of the statement added “Scholarships are for full time students only; the student has to take the maximum number of units per semester, and successful students must comply with the terms and conditions of the scholarship and complete their studies within the stipulated programme duration.”
All the interested candidates must send their letters of application to the deans of their respective faculties in order to be considered.
Every applicant’s application must be accompanied by an application letter addressed to the Dean, an admissions letter, and certifiedAfter a student has been awarded, the scholarship must be accepted without exception at the time of offer.
