TSC compile list of invigilators and supervisors for this year
The list of teachers who will conduct the national exams in 2023 is being compiled by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The Commission is now gathering information about the teachers who will be responsible for administering exams through the Curriculum Support Officers.
The details of the teachers must be filled up and submitted on an excel template by the school administrators.
Name, Designation, TSC number, Job group, ID number, Current school, Mobile number, KRA pin, KPSEA, KCPE, and KCSE enrolment are just a few of the information needed from instructors.
A total of 28,408 teachers were employed as center managers, 28,727 as supervisors and 74,990 as invigilators for the 2022 examinations and assessments.
Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) tests will be taken by 2.3 million students this year. According to the Kenya National Examination Council, preparations for the administration of national exams are complete.
1,415,315 candidates are expected to take the KCPE exam, and another 903,260 will take the KCSE exam.
A total of 1,282,574 students in Grade Six will participate in the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), according to Knec Chief Executive David Njengere.
According to Dr. Njengere, candidate registration has been completed, the exam papers are ready, and they will be given out in accordance with the schedule.
He said this at the beginning of the 39th Association for Educational Assessment in Africa Conference in Nairobi, which was hosted at the Safari Park Hotel.
In an effort to prevent cheating at this year’s national examination, Knec has also introduced new security measures.
The collection of all the exam papers for the day will no longer take place in the morning.
The morning papers will only be picked by the center managers, who are also the school principals.
In order to provide schools with storage facilities for exams, Knec claimed to have acquired more containers.
Under the new structure, this will reduce the amount of time needed to collect and drop examination papers.
The exam administrators will return the morning papers to the container once Learners have finished them while they collect the afternoon papers.
