TSC Delivers Good News To All Teachers
The teachers service Commission whose mandate is to recruit and manage teachers has delivered good news to all teachers on the application of leaves.
For some time now, teachers have been experiencing challenges when requesting leaves while in the profession due to the complex processes followed and a lot of paperwork involved. Following the complexity involved in processing the leaves, many teachers opt not to process even when it is necessary.
In the latest circular sent by the teacher service commission (TSC), all teachers have been informed that leave application and approval now go purely online and will no longer be manual as it has been previously.
The online leave application and approval will be effective as from the 1st of December 2021, the circular stated.
All teachers can now access all the leave requests online in the portal using their smartphones at their convenience.
According to the circular from the commission, no paperwork or office visit will be accepted when teachers apply for any leave at any particular time.
This is good news to all teachers. Teachers have been suffering while processing study leaves, paternity and maternity leave among others.
All tutors can now apply for leave using the online platform. Guidelines and procedures on how to apply are available through the commission’s website.
