Three Killed in Kisumu Alongside Al- Shaabab Suicide Bomber
Yesterday evening at around five, a returnee from the Al- Shaabab group detonated himself by using homemade explosives killing two victims alongside himself.
It is reported that the suicide bomber had some homemade explosives around his waist and he detonated himself in the Nyakach region within Kisumu county.
The two victims of the blast were a man and his wife. The suicide bomber died instantly. The victims aged fifty-five were with their daughter. The daughter was injured during the incident. She was quickly taken to for treatment.
Police sources revealed that the blast bomber have been away for five years. He has been in Mombasa but returned recently. He is alleged to have joined the al-Shabaab group while staying in Mombasa.
It also emerged that in the year twenty nineteen, the terror suspect tried killing his girlfriend whom he was staying with in a rented room at Katito using explosives over cheating allegations. The girlfriend was sixteen years old.
According to the reports from police officers, the bomber had homemade explosives which he left in the rented house. The explosives exploded injuring the girlfriend. Luckily she was taken to the hospital and treated.
The bomb blast attacker was an orphan who dropped out of school while in class five. He left his home residence five years ago for Mombasa.
Police are now on high alert beefing up security across Kisumu county. Police are urging the members of Kisumu county in particular and the entire nation to be keen and vigilant.
