Reviewed Minimum Entry Requirements For Degree, Diploma And Certificate Courses.
What is the latest reviewed KUCCPS Minimum Entry Requirements for degree, Diploma and certificate courses?
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has released the latest Minimum entry requirement to universities and colleges in favour of most candidates who sat for their examinations in the year 2021.
This revelations comes after it emerged that most students are locked out of their dream careers for not meeting certain subject grades which are also minimum requirements for placement in such courses.
Most experts have argued that some subjects needed for certain courses are highly weighted, but they are not critical in training, while in other cases, some crucial subjects needed are omitted or less emphasized.
This situation has led to many students missing their dream courses because the subject clusters, which spell out minimum requirements for various courses were last reviewed some years ago.
Individuals who will benefit most if the placement criteria is revised will be candidates Eyeing to pursue teaching and agricultural courses.
For example those students studying agriculture-related courses are currently required to have C+ in Biology and Chemistry.
Following these proposals, however, this requirement has been reduced to a C plain for both subjects.
Now Agriculture minimum grade of (C+) has also been introduced as an alternative to the C plain in Biology.
