A Geography and Business teacher has left many Kenyans in stitches after saying that is going to marry a second wife following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s announcement on a 12 per cent salary increment.
The teacher has caught the attention of many following his statement after the president announced pay rise for all salaried Kenyans during today’s Labor Day celebrations.
According to President Uhuru 12% pay rise will be effective from today 1st May 2022. This means that that civil servants will get new adjusted salaries by the end of this month.
The civil servants will be start enjoying the salary increment from the end of this month onwards.
A conversation with one of the teachers at a school called Ekwanda Secondary in Maseno revealed that the teachers are happy following the great announcement from the President.
The teacher went ahead to say that he is going to marry another following the increment of his pay.
“I am going to marry another wife,” Mr Lubanga, who teaches geography and business studies at Ekwanda Secondary, happily explained to the press a 12% pay rise in his basic salary.
He is one of the 40 teachers in the compound who rejoiced in the wake of the mega announcement that all Kenyans have been eagerly awaiting.
