IEBC: How To Confirm Your Voter Registration Details
Voters have been given a chance to confirm whether their registration details in the voter’s register now and June 2, 2022.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) suspended the continuous voter registration on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
IEBC announced in a gazette notice the suspension of new registration as well as the change of registration of voters both in Kenya and the disapora from May 4 until March 13, 2023.
According to the Commission, this is meant to allow the important process of voter verification.
All the registered voters can now verify their voter 4t details through two ways:
1. Short message service (SMS)
A voter can send his or her ID or Passport number, depending on which you used to register, to the number 70000.
A confirmation message will be sent bearing your details if you are a registered voter.
2. Alternatively, you can visit the IEBC portal verify.iebc.or.ke to verify your registration details.
In case you find that your details have been wrongly captured, visit your registration centre to make necessary corrections.
