A University Student In Possession Of Bhang In Kisii
Police in Kisii County have arrested a university student who was in possession of bhang during the ongoing crackdown on drug users.
The student is held in police custody as the crackdown continues to get more drug traffickers.
According to the police report, the suspect was arrested in an ongoing crackdown on drug users.
“The suspects behind the illegal trade have been selling marijuana to university students,” police noted.
Preliminary reports indicate that the suspects got wind of the crackdown before fleeing.
Nyamage area chief Sarah Mokua led the operation that saw officers search the hostels of the suspects, leading to the arrest of one of them.
“Four other suspects fled into a nearby forest. We are pursuing the suspects in a bid to bring them to book,” police added.
