About 2000 jobs advertised by PSC, deadline
1,902 job vacancies in various state departments have been announced by Public Service Commission.
Out of the 1,902 jobs, 1,701 vacancies are to be filled by State Department for Internal Security and National Administration according to the notice issued.
The three posts in the department are distributed as follows ; one position for government chemist, 900 vacancies for clerical officer II and senior support staff 800 vacancies.
Also, 1 vacancy for the post of assistant director, gender in the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action has been declared.
Public Service Commisison has also advertised 1 position for the post of Director of Roads and Rail Transport Services in the State Department for Transport.
Additionally, other fifty eight vacancies for the post of Land Valuer in the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning have been announced.
The PSC also revealed that there is 1 vacancy in the post of Director, Internal Trade in the State Department for Trade.
Other positions to be filled include 1 position for Director, of Regional Development (the State Department for Asals and Regional Development).
The commission further announced 5 vacancies in the State Department for Tourism in the following capacities, 2 vacancies for Assistant Director, Tourism Research, Policy and Innovation, 2 vacancies for Assistant Director, Tourism Development and Promotion and 1 vacancy for Assistant Director, Tourism Investment and Finance.
In the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs there are one hundred vacancies in Children’s Officer II, and Social Development Officer III.
Similarly, 26 vacancies in the State Department for Diaspora Affairs in posts including Director, Foreign Service, Assistant Director Foreign Service and Deputy, Director Foreign Service have been announced.

Eight vacancies were also advertised by the commission in the State Department of Shipping and Maritime for the post of Shipping and Maritime Offer I.
