Application Deadline for TSC Promotions Extended
The time for teachers to submit their applications for promotions has been extended by seven days by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The Commission states that the application deadline for promotions was June 9 but will now end on June 15 because two prior attempts at attracting enough applications failed to be successful.
Over 14,000 teachers are up for promotion, but TSC also claimed that thousands of schools still lack principals and deputy principals as a result of instructors failing to submit applications for open posts.
The Commission works to make sure that teachers are promoted as a way to acknowledge and reward teachers’ effort and performance, align them for succession planning or career advancement, and inspire them to perform better in their roles and responsibilities. This serves as away of enhancing the standards of teaching and learning,” the Teachers Service Commission stated in a statement.
Teacher Service Commission has urged instructors to apply for these jobs, stating that it has a duty to supply institutional administrators for the management of public educational institutions.

In January, the CommissionCommission published an initial call for applications for 14,738 teacher promotions for a variety of positions, including institutional administrators, chief principals, principals, deputy principals, headteachers, deputy headteachers, senior masters, and senior teachers.
Nevertheless, the CommissionCommission is still looking to fill 1,001 positions even after the second advertising.
For instance, the CommissionCommission received response for 5,152 of the 7,720 deputy headteacher posts for ordinary primary schools that were posted in the first round, leaving a gap of 2,568.
An additional 1,581 instructors responded to the second round of advertisements seeking promotions, a difference of 987.
