At least 35 people were killed in a suicide attack at a training center in the Afghan capital, Kabul, according to the United Nations.
More than 80 people were injured in the attack on Kaaj Education Center in Dasht-e-Barchi area on Friday.
Students were sitting for university exams when the bomb hit. Neither team has yet advanced an attack.
Most of the people in the area are Hazaras, a minority targeted by Islamic State (IS) militants.
Dozens of Hazara women blocked a meeting to protest violence by the country’s Taliban officials on Saturday, AFP reported.
About 50 women marched in the streets demanding an end to the “Hazara Genocide”.
After Friday’s attack, images shared on local television and social media appeared to show scenes from a nearby hospital where bodies were lined up on the floor.
Other media reports from the location of the private college showed damaged classrooms and collapsed desks.
“We haven’t found him here yet,” a woman who was looking for her sister at one of the hospitals told AFP. “He’s 19.”
The attackers reportedly shot a guard outside the center, entered a classroom and detonated a bomb.
According to witnesses, most of the victims were girls, who were sitting in the first row near the explosion. An injured student told AFP there were about 600 people in the room when the attack took place.n
