Govt Announces 684 Vacancies in Public Service Commission
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has made 684 positions available in state agencies and ministries.
Kenyans who meet the requirements and are interested in applying can do so until February 13, 2024, according to a notice released by the PSC on Tuesday.
“Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the commission’s website or jobs portal,” said the chief executive officer of the commission.
The PSC website contains information on the positions.
At least 22 county commissioners or secretaries of administration and a deputy director for the Kenya School of Adventure and Leadership are needed, according to the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration.

A secretary for refugee affairs, five directors of civil registration services, seventeen deputy directors of civil registration services, and eighty assistant directors of civil registration services are among the positions that the Immigration and Citizen Services Department is hiring.
Additionally, a deputy commissioner general of prisons is being hired by the State Department for Correctional Services – Kenya Prisons Services.
A Director of General Public Debt Management, a Director of Veterinary Services, a Senior Research Fellow, and a Senior Lecturer are being sought after by the National Treasury, the Livestock Department, and the Defence Department, respectively.
There are about 135 director and associate director job openings under the State Department for Industry across several departments.

There are 43 available roles in delivery management and public service.
Additionally, 182 vacancies in various departments are being sought for by the Labor and Skills Development department.
In addition, the Petroleum Department is looking to fill the post of Commissioner for Petroleum, while the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs has advertised 22 available positions.
There are about 167 positions available in different departments under the Mining department.
The Secretary, Land Reclamation, Climate Resilience, and Irrigation Water Management positions are open positions that the State Department for Irrigation is also looking to fill.
