Killer Pastor Confess Killing A Minor. Reason Behind Shocking
Police in Siaya County arrested a pastor in connection with the disappearance of a nine-year-old girl he allegedly confessed to killing.
The girl was reportedly last seen with the pastor at Asembo in Rarieda sub-county.
Last Sunday, the priest is said to have chosen him while playing with other children.
On Sunday evening, the parents started looking for the girl when they did not see her at home.
They learned from the other children that the pastor had picked up the girl.
West Asembo chief Wycliffe said the matter was reported to the police who arrested the pastor.
He at first told the police that the body was in Siaya City, but when they reached there to collect it, he changed his mind and claimed that it was in Asembo.
“The clergy picked the girl on Sunday, April 10, and then took her to an undisclosed location. She was never seen again. He has not revealed where the body is,” area chief claimed.
The pastor is being kept at Aram police station. Angry mobs had earlier stormed the pastor’s house, set fire to all the houses before going to the church where he was a minister and torched it.
Area chief claimed that the priest confessed to the girl’s parents that he had killed her.
“He asked them to forget about her. Initially, they said that the girl was in town, but they could not find her. When the parents decided to take her to the police, he said that he killed her,” the chief further claimed.
Siaya Police Commander Mr. Michael Muchiri said the pastor confessed he was the last person to see the girl.
Muchiri said police were still trying to convince the pastor to reveal where the girl was.
“We can’t talk about death until we confirm it. The police are still Trying to find out where the child is because the pastor is giving conflicting reports. The police have also established that the pastor is the uncle of the child,” said Muchiri.
