KUCCPS Portal Opened for Inter-University Transfer
On Monday, August 7, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) launched its portal so that students could transfer between universities or institutions.
Students may alter their initial university or college selections up until August 15, 2023, during the transfer window’s open hours.Students wishing to enrol in Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) colleges may do so during the transfer period as well.
Students must make sure their credentials and course-specific cutoff points meet the standards established by the individual schools before submitting a transfer application. Depending on the level of the university, many courses have different cut-off criteria.
Additionally, the placement service offers a chance to monitor the portal’s progress for transfer applications. The procedure, which entails permission from the two concerned institutions, will be able to be followed by applicants.
Students who are unhappy with their application results for universities and colleges can reconsider them through the inter-institution transfer possibility.
The processing charge for submitting an application for a transfer is Ksh1,000. A pay bill number provided in the portal will be used to send the payment.
A maximum of seven days shall be allowed to the receiving and releasing institutions to accept or reject the transfers. The applicant will be required to start the application procedure over after these seven days have passed.
