The six undergraduate degree programmesprogrammes include
Bachelor of Cyber security and digital forensics
Bachelor of data science
Bachelor of Technology Education
Bachelor of Science in business and Entrepreneurship
Bachelor of Economics and Statistics
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Food security.
The university will also offer two graduate degrees in leadership and accountability and learning design and teaching.
The Open University is now the 42nd public university in the country and will admit its first cohort in September
The digital university plans to admit its first cohort of students from next month. It is expected to charge between Sh10,400 and Sh10,900 per module, depending on the course, according to a report presented by the technical committee that drafted the road map for its establishment.
For those pursuing post graduate diploma courses they will be required to pay upto 110,000 per year for one year while those undertaking degree programs will be required to pay between 105,000 and 130,000 per year for at least four years.
The number of units will range between 12 and 14 per year. The application are open without deadline. You can apply through KUCCPSKUCCPS portal.
Post-diploma courses had been projected to cost Sh130,000 per year in the report. At the OUK, which is domiciled within the Konza Technopolis in Machakos, the total number of modules taken by a full-time student will be between four and six.
