Open University Of Kenya, OUK Intake Date Announced
OUK intake date for this year has been officially announced by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
The Open University of Kenya is the latest Chartered University in Kenya whose first intake application dates has announced.
According to KUCCPS, applications for admission to the Open University of Kenya (OUK) started on August 28.
Mercy Wahome, the Kuccps Chief Executive Officer said that the portal open and interested candidates are welcomed to submit their applications in their preferred area of study.
How much is required to study a degree course at OUK?
Undergraduate degree courses at OUK will cost Ksh105,000 except for Bachelor of Technology Education which will cost Ksh115,000 per year for full-time study.
Per year, the cost of pursuing a postgraduate diploma course is Ksh110,000.At OUK learners have the flexibility to pay and pursue a course units for both Bachelor’s degree and postgraduate diploma programmes at a cost of Ksh10,000.
Students from outside East Africa wi pay 10 per cent more for all programmes and course units offered at Open University of Kenya.
Entry Requirements (OUK intake)
KUCCPS also said for a Bachelor’s degree programme, the minimum entry requirement is a C+ in KCSE or its equivalent.
The application for programmes offered in open University of Kenya if free of charge and no deadline. This is because of the uniqueness of the institution’s mode of learning.
Students joining Open University of Kenya will enjoy flexibility in learning and flexible modular programme design allow them to study at their own pace and convenience.
Bachelor’s degree applicants will be eligible for government loans scholarships and loans as per the new funding model criteria.
KCSE students from 1989 to the present who qualifies for various programs can readily apply on the KUCCPS portal.
Students with international and other non-KCSE qualifications will be provided with a platform to upload their application documents.
