Police have seized a truck transporting over hundreds of alleged fake fertilizers in Bungoma County.
According the senator Wakoli said the shipping of the alleged fake fertilizer occurred over the weekend.
Whe addressing media in Bungoma Police station Senator Wakoli Wafula expressed his concerns over the irregular transportation, repackaging and transfer of alleged fake fertilizers.
The incident unfolded after a truck transporting the fertilizer to the ward admins’ offices situated at the Kanduyi NG-CDF premises in the Kanduyi Constituency was intercepted and impounded.
The Ford Kenya lawmaker called on the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) to assess the authenticity of the product with the findings determining whether legal action should be taken against the perpetrators.

Bungoma south OCPD Jeff Wilson Muraya confirmed the incident saying that the DCI have launched investigations on the impounded truck that was seized transporting the alleged fake fertilizer.
