Brief History of Sironga Girls High School
The school was started in July 1968 by Daniel Arap Moi while he was serving as a vice president of the Republic of Kenya.
The school started as a harambee mixed secondary.
The boys were phased out and in 1990, the school became a girls school.
Sironga girls school was promoted to national level in 2014.
The school is nicknamed ‘Maroon palace’ due to their Marron uniform and dormant colour in their structures.
The school is founded on strong Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) religious background.
Worship program start at sunset in Friday evening and ends at Saturday evening. No learning activities during this time.
