Police officers in Ekerenyo area of Nyamira county have now detained a secondary school teacher after they found him in a bedroom with a form two student.
A woman, believed to be the child’s mother, told the police that a 15-year-old girl has been in a relationship with Wesley Angika Asira for some time.
Wesley Angika Asira a mathematics and physics in a school in Nyamira county is 28 years old.
Ekerenyo police officers monitored the students, and finally succeeded in arresting them at the Mathematics/Physics teacher’s house near the school.
The Two were found naked in bed, said the police.
The two accused were taken to Ekerenyo District Hospital to undergo medical tests before their arrest.
Nyamira North county Police Commander Patrick Ngeiwa announced that the teacher was charged on Monday.
“He has pleaded not guilty and is on bond with Kshs. 300,000 or similar surety,” said Ngeiwa.
Saturday’s incident came shortly after another teacher reported defiling a student at the girls’ boarding school.
The school’s Deputy principal, Jared Masese, was accused of defiling a Standard Seven girl in his office that evening.
Some parents are now threatening to pull their children out of school because of the incident
